Verizon Wireless, no contracts, terms not explained, hidden cancellation fees not explained, refused to provide me itemized list of all fees explanation, refused to fix billing errors, refused to show contract, refused to produce signed contract, improper collection practices, holding former clients hostage regarding their credit reports acting like we must obey them or else

Do not do business with verizon, they will bill you tons of hidden fees, and if you want to cancel, they will hold you hostage.

Did you know they have a total of 13,000 bbb compalints against them for billing issues, contract issues, service issues, and so on? As well as over 550 complaints on this site alone!

In I purchased a USB Verizon Wireless card at a Verizon kiosk at the mall and paid $149.95 for the hardware so i can get internet access for my laptop computer. When i bought this card, they set me up with the service and gave me a phone number to use for wireless access. At no time at the sale, did they ever give me a contract nor did they ever discuss any type of early termination fee. They only mentioned 1 fee and that was $59.95 per month and that was it. They had no signature from me at all.

I called to cancel my Verizon services during the month of June and July. I had to call 2-3 months in a row because i would keep getting a new bill. It was frustrating. Finally, no bills so i thought it was taken care of. Now in Dec I get a report on my credit report stating that I owe $405.00 I owe them and they ruined my credit. I called the verizon national recovery dpo office and discussed all my issues with them and told them all I owe them is $175.00 and change and would pay that, but in no way do i owe what they say i owe.

They refused to provide me an itemized listing of how they came up with $405 because the 2 people could not even figure it out, they refused to produce a signed contract where i approved and gave consent to an early termination fee of $125. If I was told this at the time of sale, I WOULD HAVE NEVER SIGNED UP FOR THIS INTERNET SERVICE. I want to be able to do business with companies and be able to cancel if i dont need them anymore and not have to pay a high cancellation fee, especially when i did not know about it.

They flat out told me that they dont have to show me anything or any signed paperwork, it is the way it is and will stay on my credit report until i pay the bill. They refused to provide me itemized accurate explanation of bill, they refused to correct billing error, it took me 3 months to cancel with them, and there was 1 time they did an unauthorized deduction from my bank account for $126 that i had to dispute because they took this money from my account just 1-2 weeks after i already made a payment. I never agreed to this or the date they did this.

I am demanding they adjust the bill from $405 they say I owe to $176 that i really do owe so i cam immediately make a payment and get this billing issue behind us.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DO BUSINESS WITH ANY TYPE OF CORPORATION NOW DAYS. Another note, when i did want to make payments or get support with Verizon on my account or hardware, it would take me 2 days to finally get a hold of anyone, and cost me hours a day to get support or make payment.

When i was finally directed to a call center out of the country in India, they would direct me to a site to make a payment, and when i would make a payment, the site would not accept payment cause it would not accept my account number. So i would then have to spend another hour on the phone getting through that Verizon support call center and they would still direct me to the same site, and they would tell me to add 000 digits on my account and it should work, and then it still would not work. So in order to use Verizon phone support for support or make a payment was a nightmare and would cost me hours over 2 days to resolve something.

I am demanding they adjust the bill from $405 they say I owe to $176 that i really do owe so i cam immediately make a payment and get this billing issue behind us. All this hassle over a simple internet service that was suppose to cost me only $50 per month that I was able to get because my budget would allow this, and in the end i have really gotten scammed and my credit history ruined.

Please help make them do the right thing!
