I purchased a DVD recorder from Walmart. & months later it quit working. So, I called Thomson to get a replacement. They promised to send one (lie) and
said it would take 6 to 8 weeks. I waited but no unit or phone call.
I called again, this time they said there were no more replacements available. So I asked for a refund. They told me to send the unit back to them and they would issue me a check, 6 to 8 weeks after receiving the unit. The unit was received at their El Paso, Texas location, which they acknowledged. So, once again I waited but no check came.
In December they informed me that they had sent me a check. However, I have never received it and told them so. They then said they would expedite the case to locate the check.
I have called them every week since and to no avail. I am out the refund and the DVD recorder. Today, I discovered the complaint and found others in
the same situation. Perhaps a class action lawsuit is needed. I will be calling them every day from this day forward and I hope others will too. I have also
contacted Walmart and will do so again until they get sick of hearing from me.
