I bought an extended 5 year warranty from HH Gregg Back in 2003 on a 55" Mitsubishi tv, back when they had their own service dept.
I was told if I buy the warranty and the tv went bad it would be repaired or replaced. HH gregg sold the warranty to GE and on July 22 I submitted a repair request. Topp electronics has been to my house 4 times since then and the last time being Oct. 3rd, and it still wasnt repaired and I was waiting for Topp to order another part and heard nothing. On Mon Oct. 20th, I called Topp and they told me they had inadvertantly closed out the repair order. For 3 days I have been on the phone with GE and topp and I am no closer to resolving this problem. I was told on Mon Oct. 20th by GE that since I have been put through so much, they were going to push for a replacement.
I say never buy a service contract from HH Gregg, and for me I will never purchase anything ever again from them.
By the way, in 2003 when I purchased the tv, I also bought appliances for my whole house totaling over $5000.
