Geek Squad jacks up repair price claiming additional repairs required

I purchased a new computer keyboard and while loading the drivers for the keyboard it caused a complete and total system lock up. Within 2 hours of purchasing the keyboard I was back in Best Buy store at the Geek squad window requesting their help. They were more than willing to help me and tried to boot up my computer, absolutely nothing happened, they couldn't get it running. They then told me that they would repair it for me but at a cost of $30. This was after a product that they sold me caused my computer to lock. I even talked with the manager and he stated that since he had to pay a technician to fix it he had to charge me, that was regardless of the fact that their product had caused the damage. I had to complete a work order and was told that it would take 4 or 5 days for the repairs. After 6 days I received a call stating that they needed more information. I went to the store and the "more" information they needed was for me to tell them that it would be OK for them to charge me an additional $100 since they were not able to rectify the problem there and would have to send my computer off for factory repair and that could take 4 to 6 weeks. At that point I demanded they return my computer, which they hesitatingly did, and I left the store. I went directly to a local small computer shop and explained what had happened. The tech there asked to see my computer, then right there on the bench with me watching him, he rectified the problem in just a couple of minutes. He fixed what the Geek Squad claimed they couldn't fix and he fixed it so easily that it was funny. He also stated that what he did was a very basic function of getting into the system and finding a restore menu, that any technician that worked on computers for more that 5or 6 hours should know the procedure he followed. This was nothing more that an attempt by the Geek Squad to gouge more $ out of me. The initial $30 then the supposed extremely difficult repairs that they were going to charge me another $100 for. Needless to say, Best Buy will never ever have the distinct honor of seeing me enter their again.
