I purchased a Panasonic AG-DVX100B, professional MiniDV camera, from this place. At first the sales people were really helpful and seemed honest. After your purchase is completed, they lose any ounce of customer service that they had, that is if you can get anyone on the phone.
Two months after my purchase, I was shooting a wedding and found I couldn't zoom in using the automatic zoom. Later that day, while capturing the video to my computer, my playback screen went blue and I lost all functions. I called shopdigitalcorp.com and finally was able to speak to someone after a long wait. I never got the name of this representative, but he basically told me that it was my problem to deal with and also said, "sometimes you buy a car and it's a lemon, " basically admitting to selling me a piece of junk. I was instructed to go to Panasonic, so I did.
After sending the camera into Panasonics repair shop, I received a call and was told that my serial number could not be found within the US database. I spoke with a panasonic representative who went on a search for the missing serial number. One week later he called me back to say that the camera was traced back to a gray market in Panama and because of that, Panasonic would not uphold the 1 year warranty on the camera.
Needless to say, I am stuck paying for the repairs to a 2 month old camera, out of my own pocket. I've called shopdigitalcorp back since then to talk to a manager to try to get some answers, but nobody answers the phone. I've even left messages in all departments, sometimes acting like a new customer looking for information but have no contact.
Do not buy anything from this company.
