Total rip off! Bad equipment! Cant cancel after 2 days! Charged $700

I fell victim to Sprint too! Their customer service is HORRID! I've spent all day, making multiple calls trying to cancel my account and they won't do it! They keep transferring me to different departments! The 30 day or less department, retention department, in store exchange department. You name it!

It all started when my navigation system got stolen. It's ok, I needed a PDA phone with nav anyway! So I ordered the Treo POS. I mean Treo 800W.

I was on the phone with customer service because I had to put a $100 deposit on my account. Fine. No problem. Then the girl tells me about some other phones. So I happen to be driving right next to a sprint store so I stopped in to see what they have.

With customer service on the phone they show me the Treo. GREAT! Exactly what I need! The girl assures me they can find my account at the sprint store and gives me an order number. I ask her THREE TIMES if it will be a problem... Nope, no problem. OK GREAT!

One stipulation. If I canceled the order then they'd have to charge my credit card again. Sure. No big deal. The charge rolled off after a couple of days.

So, I receive the Treo. It's USED! No sticker on the screen, teeth marks in the stylus and it's a PIECE OF S! It doesn't hold a charge, the navigation system doesn't load up and when it finally does it tells me I'm three miles from where I am and it doesn't move!

The first thing I noticed was the speaker on the back didn't work. Hmm. Seems simple enough. Exchange the phone. Well, they wanted me to pay ANOTHER $350.00 then they will "Credit my account". No, wrong answer. It's simple, I walk into a store and exchange the Treo.

So one of the reps set it up and spoke to the store. I get there and surprise surprise, they have NO IDEA what I'm talking about! Total waste of time. So I call back and try to get it set up again... This time getting the name of the sales person the rep on the phone spoke to. Suddenly, no stores have any Treos in stock so we are again at square one.

So I call to cancel. The girl assures me she'll make it right. She offered a credit to my account but I don't want a credit, I WANT A WORKING NAVIGATION SYSTEM FOR MY WORK! I've been driving around for a week using googlemaps and a 2005 mapsco that is out of date!

I happen to chat with a customer today who told me the Treo is garbage and I should get a blackberry instead. So I thought this might be an option. Well, they want me to pay another $600 for the blackberry then they will credit this to my account! You have to be kidding me! So they transfer me to several different departments and ooopss... DROP THE CALL!

So, I call again to cancel and they tell me they will make it right. OK, let's see. More crap from these people! So finally I got mad and said "JUST CANCEL MY ACCOUNT AND GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!" SO THEY TRANSFER ME TO IN STORE EXCHANGES!

So now I'm on a call that has lasted about 2 hours. Getting one department and another and another.

FINALLY! They got the manager of the Sprint Store on the phone and he confirmed he will refund the money for the TREO. But what about the INSTINCT that is CANCELED and the $200 in DEPOSITS? Well. I'm lucky to be getting the money back for the TREO I guess (thats me being cynical by the way).

$349.00 TREO (received broken)
$249 INSTINCT (never received and canceled)
$200- $100 deposit per line.

Getting screwed around by Sprint for a matter that is so simple a monkey can take care of it... Priceless!
