Story sounds remarkably similar to all the stories on here. Two late-teen/early twenty white males claiming to be from San Marcos going to SWT college stopped me while I was exiting from Wal-mart asking if I wanted to buy some speakers. The vehicle was a greenish Ford Explorer (new one) with Florida plates. - they said that they had some speakers that their boss had overbought and they needed to dump them quick so they could make some quick cash because if they took them to place they were to make the delivery for the "real" amount of speakers - that their boss would take them from them to his house to keep.

They pulled out their fake invoice and 2 magazines with these speaker ads in them showing that they were $849 each. I knew that had to be way overpriced but I kept listening. Because this deal just kept sounding wierder and wierder every word that they said. The first guy came up asking how much I could get from my credit card - what my limit was... Right there i was like screw these people... But he was very insistant that i buy them from them or they would lose them to the boss.

He tried to show me in his wallet that he was not a scammer and that he was broke - but he pulled out a blank wallet with no liscense or anything in it. After about 20 minutes of listening to him - i guess he was getting frusterated so he said he was going to go make the delivery to Joy of Austin strip club where they were putting in the new sound system for them. He pulled out the speakers to show me what they looked like - but i told him it sounded like a blatend scam and i was going to have to pass. As i was walking away the other guy jumped out of the car and ran after me trying to get me to forgive his stupid friend that he comes off a little wierd like that. He pulled out a business card for "specialized audio" in san marcos, tx - saying that is where they worked. So he did his whole speal that he couldn't pawn the speakers because he was a licensed something and that if he pawned anything that his boss would be notified... This guy was more convincing because he was more like saying that they just needed to unload some overshipped merchandise quick before they went to their real delivery. I told the guy ok, but i could only get about 100 from the atm, the guy sounded like it was hurting him to do all this work for a measly 100 buck scam but he said ok.

He followed me to the atm and watched me pull out 100 bucks and i told him i had hit my limit for the day. The guy kept insisting that i could maybe try another atm or different bank and stuff - i told him i was all tapped. I told the guys i would buy the speakers for as much as i could spare, but they had to load them first in my car. The guy ran to the back of the explorer and pulled out the 2 speakers of about 10 or so fit into the back their explorer and loaded them into my car. I told the guy that it was a little suspisious but i would put the money in the back of a truck there in the parking lot and then leave - he saw me put the money in the truck but i only left a dollar in the back of the truck and then got in my car and left with the 2 speakers. They started following me - driving a little aggressive like they were going to run me off the road - but i pulled a couple quick u's and went home to see how well the speakers sounded.

On a side note - the speakers are very bad. And a blatent scam
