Fotoconnection.com advertised for a camera package at http://www.fotoconnection.com/p83317-nikon-d40x-package-17-wide-angle-optical-converter.html. They sent me only two lenses instead of three. There was no wide angle optical converter. Also, one of the lenses they advertised was a Nikkor 70-300mm (which is a top of the line lens) but they sent a Tamron 75-300mm lens which is a generic lens and is not what was advertised.
I called them to correct the problem and was put on hold many times. When they got on the line they were not helpful, told me I was wrong, and that they had discontinued that package today. I had ordered it about seven days ago. I even had the invoice which I e-mailed. When he realized I had proof he tried to bully me into sending back the entire package with me having to pay the shipping. I pulled the web page and the ad was still on the web today. He said the best he could do was send me a plastic lens instead of a glass one which he said was a "piece of crap".
We reminded him of the 100% guarantee and told him this was fraudulent advertising ; he then asked us if we were tape recording him. He said that they have “always won in court when people used recorders.” I asked if they have been sued about having fraudulent advertising. He got irate and said just “deal with it or send the package back.” I am scared to send it back because I do not trust them to refund my purchase on my credit card.
