I purchasd a 73" Mitsubishi DLP Widescreen Television from Circuit City on June 19. When I began to open the box I could see that the Television was broken. The screen was bowed out and there appeared to be pieces of mirror inside on the bottom. I never removed the rest of the box or packing. The store was closed so the next morning I returned the TV to the store and asked for a repalcement since the TV was broken when it had never even been unpacked. The store manager refused to make an exchange or credit my account. I contacted the corporate offices and was also refused. To add insult to injury the store manager implied that I had broken the TV and then decided to return it. I have a video tsaken by my daughter of the TV still in the box and packing showing the damage as well as pictures i took myself. My daughter was video taping the opening of the box because she was so happy that we were getting this big TV that we had wanted. This has been an incredible experience with a well known and supposedely responsible store that advertises easy returns and pretends to stand behind its merchandise. It is costing me $4,000.
