We cancelled our service in September and a friendly customer service rep said "We can suspend your service for 6 months just in case you decide to use us again." "There would be no installation fees this way." WOW great idea... WRONG.
About 8 months later SUPRISE a BIG-FAT-BILL shows up via email saying.
We owe them for a full month of service.
They actually re-instated our account without warning or any authorization.
They say "the computer automatically turns the service back on after 6 months. So far the fee has not been removed, but they finally stopped the service. They even tried to make a sale by trying to sell me additional service. I don't live there and I don't want your service.
This is Unlawful, Deceptive Practice. I never realized how low these people would go to keep a customer.
I will never use direct tv again!
I have hours into solving this problem and it still isn't over.
Don't waste your time or mine to cheat the system.
I guess the economy is really hurting DIRECT TV when they have to CHEAT the consumer just to survive.
