They take my money, 5 weeks later still no merchandise

On January 22 I bought 4 laptop computers from Computer Inferno. They said I would have them in 4-5 days. I have called several times in the 5 weeks and once have my calls returned. On Jan. 30th I told them I would need to have them or get my money back since they cannot deliver.

They then had one ready so my son picked it up. When he got home with it, it would not work and was not what I ordered, nor did it have the upgrades that I paid for. I returned it the next day, which they reassured me I would have them by Monday Feb. 4.

They had another ready about Feb 6, it was the right computer, but did not have all the upgrades that I paid for, so I returned that one the next day due to they were closed when I got off work. I was told that the other three laptops were being upgraded and that would be ready soon.

Well soon another week passed and I was very upset with them. They responded at the corporate office but that ended up just being lip service. I then tried to get a refund on my card and was told that had to be approved at the corporate office. Well they don't return my calls and when I call the store they say they are working on it.

I then reached another man at the corporate office and they said that they were almost ready and that they would call me when they were set to pick up. I told them they should upgrade the Ram drive for all the trouble that they put me through. They said they could not do that. I pushed the issue that I could get one online for less than $20 and that is the least they could do. They agreed if I could show proof.
I proved it and they agreed to upgrade them on Feb. 11th. I was told that I would have all four laptops in 4-5 days.

It is now Feb. 25 and I have left messages everyday since the 18th and they don't return my calls. When I speak to the personnel at the store they tell me they are working to resolve the issue. Well it sure would be nice if they would do that with me. I have been asking for my money back for the past week, since again they have not kept their problems and they have my money since Jan. 22.

I have filed a claim with the BBB and hope that will help. But with the other comments I am now reading about Computer Inferno's bad business practices, I am not the only one that has had a similar problem.
The owner of this company is the same one that owns Seaside Computers and they have over 100 complaints and most don't appear to be resolved.

These people have not kept their word, took my money, and I have no merchandise that I paid for. Now they are running me around about refunding my money since they haven't delivered.

They had the nerve to blame the whole delay on me and my demands for memory upgrade.

This type of business practice is ludacris. How a person can rip off several people with Seaside Computers and the county allows him another business license under another company name, Computer Inferno; only to turn around and take more people for money is beyond me.
Is our county government not interested in protecting it's consumers? How can this happen.

I can only post this hoping that someone who is considering using this company will find the information before going to their store and spending money. At this point I don't know if I will get this money back without a fight.

I hope they are ashamed of themselves. I am a single mother with two sons raising them alone. These computers were for us to go to college online. Without my refund so I can buy something else, my sons will not be able to attend college. This is just wrong.
