I purchased a 26 'protron lcd flat screen from sears in lafayette, indiana on 2/6/06 for $688.99 worked great for 2 months then volume was fading in & out so i called sears they told me to unplug it for bit and it should reset itself. Well that never worked. Only way it would stop if you turned volume up higher. 3 months go by the tv up and quits completly dead no power called sears they said i have to call protron since its still under warrenty. Only way sears would fix it is if i had bought exstended warrenty threw them never thought a 700.00 tv crap out in 5 month period when it was only used for a COMPUTER MONITOR!!!
Any how i called protron they said to send the unit back to them and they would replace it free of charge. I sent the unit out aug 29 certified they recieved it sept 12 they said once they recieve the unit i should recieve the new tv with in 2 - 3 wks. Well 3 wks went by no tv i called they said it be 30 days there waiting for more tv to come in and parts to so i waited 30 days no tv. I call again same india guy with american name he tells me call back in 2-3 more weeks that they will be shipping it out befor christmas, i should have it at my door step.
Well xmas rolled by no tv i called again same guy again goes by name john this time i wanted to speak to HIS supervisor he tells me he not in he wont be back for 2 hrs, well then i said i want to talk to head supervisor of the supervosor thats not in he then told me he is the supervisor. I told him im sick talkin to him i want to talk to head idiot in charge of that whole place. All he can say is i'm sorry your frustrated but you will have your tv in 2-3 weeks. I demanded for head branch phone number all he did was refuse to give me it.
It is now february 25 i still do not have my tv. I asked for my money or the tv i sent them back, he had no answer for me. My husband called then this time he answered his name was ricky india guy with name ricky lol what a joke this is. My husband asked were are old tv is we want it back he hung up on my husband. Well i dont want the tv back i want FULL REFUND of what i paid for that junk $688.99. I was stupid to buy no name tv but who would think sears was selling junk. I no they standby there tools i didnt think i was gonna get screwed big time.
I will never do bussiness with sears ever. I dont think i'll ever see my money or the new tv. Makes me sick to my stomack how they can do this to us and get away with it. I tryed to peprt the tv i sent to them to ontario, california police dept as theft all they said NOTHING THEY CAN DO it civil matter. I have to go to court since i sent to them its not theft. I cant believe this. If i was sent somthing i didnt return it i be in trouble and arrested, what has this country come to, aint the law says TO SERVE AND PROTECT! Well they aint serving and they surely aint protecting us from this scam protron has pulled on all of us!!!
I am deeply angry and i never been a hateful person but this is it i'm tired of run around from this protron company and there 1 worker THAT ANSWERS THAT PHONE goes by the name john, ricky, tom ect... Give me my money my token u can have your crappy tv i dont want it i want every penny back pluss what it costed to ship that junk and your gonna pay the cost for my lawer to the dime!!.
Any 1 else interested in more info i found a site online comment from protron employee very interesting you must read www.lcd-tv-reviews.com this one is good. Chineese factory that makes the protron tv's no replacement parts will ever be comming or any tv's comming ever and there to shut down. So all you people getting screwed like me go to it copy it, get lawer. I feel all your pain as to i'm in same boat you all are too i hope all of us gets what were owed goodluck to you all!!
