After purchasing a Direct TV package, I found out a few days later that a free DVD player was offered for signing up. When I called them, the lady said to go to a secret website, download the form and send it in with my first month's statement. I followed the directions to a T. Sixty days later there was no DVD player. I made multiple calls to Direct and was told it was coming. On the 75th day I received a letter in the mail saying I was ineligible because I purchased my unit through one of their independent retailers. Nowhere in the advertisement or during any of the discussions with Direct was this mentioned. Buyer beware. This is a classic case of bait and hook.
