Bought a hp laptopon 09/09/07. They programed my computer for me. I have not been able to send out a e-mail since I have had it. I have gone back time after time. They will check it and says it works now. I get home and it does not work.
I have $976.83 in this and I think they should fix it but they want to charge more.
I called the HP company and the manager was very ugly. He told me that I had to buy a lot of soft ware to make it work. That should have been included in the set up of the computer. He told me I could take it back to the store that he did not care.
This computer has Vista. They tried to tell me that was the problem. If it is they should stop making them if they can't repair them. I will never buy anything in that store again. My Uncle bought one just like it and he has not been able to use his either. He is the one that bought mine to. He bought his before he new that mine was not working.
I called the help line and they wanted to charge me $99 to help me on line. This was a gift to me. I would never buy a vista.
I tried to get them to get me a Windows XP. They say they can't do that. I told them to just give me my money back and I would go somewhere else. They say that they can not refund my money for setting up the computer. I was not told. They said I would have to pay 15% restocking fee I was not told that either. I would just like to have my money where I can have a computer. Please help me if you can. I would appreciate it so much. This is what I call a rip off if there was ever one. I have talk to everone in that store but the store manager and she is never ability.
The manager of the Geek Squad told me that they had done things to my computer that I should have been charged for. I don't fell I should have to pay anything if they are not fixing it. I have worked in retail for 30 years at Sears. We were told to do what ever it took to take care of the customer.
