After purchasing a big screen tv two days before christmas and buying a floor model so I could have it for christmas to give to my family. (A 1995.00 retail set that I bought for 1350.00 because of Christmas sales.) After several times with in home service and taking the set to their shop. (a time frame of about 6 months without a big screen, their loaner of about 20" wide.)
They decide that the tv meets their qualifications of a lemon tv. They only offer to give a instore credit not the money back. You can only get back what you have paid for the tv. Not what the tv. Was worth. They dont give credit for the sales that was on at that time. Their warranty said they return comparable merchandise on what was purchased.
They also will not put The total warranty that you buy back on to the new item that they deem to be comparable. I called the tv manufacturer and they gave me a comparable Model number. HH gregg will not send what the manufacturer tells me that is the same tv as what i bought. Also their warranty will not transfer to a new item if the old item goes bad.
Seems that all their products are bad. Once you get through the original time frame your s.O.L. If I had my money back or If I buy any thing new I would buy It from best buy or another place because HH gregg is not worth the time and effort to do business. Please buy from someone else that stands behind their products and their warranty.
