I signed up for a Family Plan through a Radio Shack. LOVED the LG phones, but virtually every call dropped. I called Tech Support and was advised to swap those adorable phones for Samsung models. More dropped calls.
To determine whether it was a geographic problem, I took the phone to Houston on an errand. I watched the bars on the phone rise & fall like waves as I rolled up I. 45! Where are their towers? Canada?
I returned the second set of phones on Day 5 and called AT&T to cancel the contracts, which I was told that I could do without penalty, within 30 days.
I received a bill for $285.00! An early cancellation fee was charged on one phone. I called AT&T and the bill was adjusted to only $95.95. It was explained to me that even though the service was lousy, we still had to pay for activation fees and federal taxes.
My credit is very good, and I'm not willing to take a hit over $96.00, but I don't see how I should've had to pay ANYTHING for such unbelievable poor service in light of the fact that the phones were returned in brand-new condition.
I'll "just say no" to the iPhone until I have a choice of providers. My Verizon service is proving very reliable.
