Is going downhill. Ripoff

I have received some horrible service from Comcast lately. After being with Comcast for years everything has been great but lately let me tell you a few things that I have recently experienced. I have recently decided to purchase phone service and internet added to my digital cable and I have had the worst time with my internet going down, being disconnected, etc and the modem that they provided is also connected to my phone and my phone goes down a lot also.

Recently I have had a tech come out approximately 3 times and the last time I got charged a fee of $49.99! I was shocked because my bill is allready arround $160.00 and that is with specials but my bill was $210.00 last month. When I called Comcast to dispute the charge they said that Comcast only charges when they do "outside" work like fixing the computer etc. The were only fixing the cable modem problem because there was an outside line that needed to be repaired and he didn't believe me. The technician was at my home for less than a few minutes and it is not my fault that the internet was not working, this had absolutely nothing to do with my computer.

Anyway I was given a credit back of $49.99 but that is not the last problem that I have had with Comcast. Recently I wanted to add a DVR (TIVO) from Comcast so that I could record shows and movies when I am not home. I had an appointment scheduled for today April, 23 from 11-2 and they did not arrive nor call to explain what is going on and why they have not arrived.

I called Comcast at 2:30 and they said that they are probably running late and to give them more time. I called back at 4:00 the lady said that the case is still open and that are scheduled to come and the only thing she could do is to reschedule. I called right back and a lady dispatched the technician and advised her supervisor of what is going on. She said that I would receive a call but after 7:00 nothing, no call or anything.

I called back and was advised that the dispatch could not get a hold of the technician and the reps exact words were the guy has gone a-wall. The sais he is not responding to the dispatch and they haven't heard from him. The rep said that the dispatch should call back and let me know what is going on or to reschedule. Still no call from the technician or the dispatch, a few apologies from the reps when I call in to Comcast directly but no supervisor I can talk to and most of the time I called in to Comcast I was told to just reshedule or to wait for him to arrive.

They seem not to care and if they just want me to reschedule than the technician gets away with skipping appointments, etc. This is not right! I had to actually call Comcast several times before I got a rep that would actually try and contact the dispatch unit. I had plans for today and that is why I made the appointment for 11-2. I have not ate all day waiting for them to arrive, I don't keep much food in the fridge and eat out a lot. I have also missed my entire day waiting around the house for them to arrive. I ate a light snack to satisfy me but it is now 8:00 pm and the technicians do not come after 8:00 and I have still not received a call from them so they will definitely not come until I make another appointment.

The last time I called they said that the technician was still not answering which is really wierd! For as much money as I pay for Comcast and now getting this DVR eventually hooked up my total bill is going to be over $180.00 a month and they still do not have the courtesy to give a responce, a day of my life just wasted.
