Employee gave incorrect information about return policy

I am disappointed with respect to honor what an employee states to a customer. I was looking for a back-up CPU. I went to Comp-USA since I have shopped there for many years. The store was short-handed on employees. One of the employees (Mike?) was leaving his shift but offered to help the 5 or more people looking at Desktop and Laptop computers. I had explained to him what I was looking for and he steered me to 2 desktops. He stayed for over 20 min. Helping some people and then tried to contact another employee who was helping others in the store. A third sold me the computer. I was leery of Microsoft Vista and older software that I have, He said that there was no problem that there was a 14 day return policy. I specifically asked him about a restocking fee. He said there was one for laptops but not desktops. (See Best Buy policy below. I proceeded with a 3rd employee who had been on a late lunch, since I knew of Best Buys Policy. The computer had problems with my software and therefore I returned it. I was told that there was a 15% restocking fee. I explained what happened but was refused. I felt that the word of an employee should be honored by the store.
