Does DirecTV even know the meaning of customer service?

I have been having problems with DirecTv since August and they have owed me a refund since November. They have refused to close my account even though I returned their equipment in November. I cannnot even count how many times I was disconnected when trying to call customer service or while waiting on hold. Either they have the worst telephone service in the country or they were hoping that I would give up if they hung up on me enough times.

They have no system of keeping track of problems, so each time I called I had to spend 5 to 10 minutes explaining the same problem again and again. They would try the same tests and reach the same conclusions each time. Something was wrong with the R15 units. Trying to solve this over the phone resulted in them lying to me every time I talked to customer service representative.

To avoid this I tried writing to them to explain the situation. I have written to them on 5 seperate occassions and have yet to receive a reply. They also have not replied to the Better Bussiness Bureau compaint that I filed. They are leaving me no choice but to take them to court. I have never dealt with a more dishonest, nonresponsive, and unethical company than DirecTv. Deal with them at your own risk.
