Charged for Cell Phone I Returned Three Days After Ordering It

I had ordered a cell phone,

Didn't like the 1 I picked out so I returned it 3 days later now Cingular is charging me the bill for a cell I haven't had in my possession since 2006 of january they turned it over to a collections agency to collect on this bill. I have written to them explaining how can I be charged for a bill on a phone I dont have in my possession. They keep sending me collection notices and no one is responding to this. This is very discouraging.
