I walked up to this kiosk at the orem university mall wanting one phone and assuming that all cingular stores have similar prices. As i talked to Andrew, the assistant manager and told him that i wanted ONE line with the lowest package they had ($39.99 15 for media and text), he decided that since my wife is a student (and already has a phone) it would be about the same price to get 2 phones on a family plan, with a student discount, around $75.99 I believed him and signed up. At the time i told him the only thing i wanted was insurance in case the phone breaks as well.
THey sold me 2 pantech C300 phones for $100, which i later found out, you can get 2 pantechs free anywhere else, they even sent me a MAILER with a cheaper price within the week! I even found RAZR phones for less than i paid for these dinky featureless crap phones!

Luckily i got my first bill bill within 30 days... And it was almost $300! There was TWO activations on the bill which i was not informed i would be charged, and there was absolutely NO discount. Not only that, there was some roadside crap, a $. 99 answertone thing on EACH LINE, and NO cell insurance on the phones! ANyone who knows a little about cell phone services knows that they will only let you sign up for cellular insurance during activation! SO i called Cingular to find out why the bill was so high and they explained to me that there was no discount on the phone, and the retailer had to set it up, and even with the discount it would still be around $125. Thats $50 more than i walked in wanting to pay, especially since my wife didnt even NEED a phone!

So i returned to the store within the 30 days to return the phones. At first they once again tried to convince me that two lines woule be less, even though they are too stupid to put the discount on their system, they informed me that if i canceled the contract, i would have to wait 90 days to resignup for cingular! So i had no choice but to buy an OVER PRICED phone from SPRING! I returned both the pantechs and bought ONE Sony Ericsson Z525 for $129.99 (this phone is free on cingular's own website!) And they said they would take care of cancelling the other line, etc. So i call cingular the next day, and no changes have been made on my account at ALL! They didnt even bother to cancel the line (probably thought they could still get the commission if they just "forgot " to cancel it) IF i had not called to check i would have gotten charged a $175 cancellation FEE FOR SOMETHING I RETURNED! Cingular even had to call spring to verify they had gotten the equipment back. Spring did NOTHING!

Then about a month later, someone calls from Springs call center. I ripped her a new one! Informing her that my phone doesnt chthen she told me to call the kiosk and they would refund my money. What a bunch of B.S. That was! I went to the kiosk and they were very rude, informing me that its been 30 days and its too bad that i am stuck with a phone that doesnt charge for $129.99

AVOID This company! If you need a Cell phone in utah county visit Best Buy! Their prices are Hundreds of dollars less! Spring sells phones at Retail price with contracts! Avoid!!!

Also, AVOID the Sony Ericsson Z525, it has horrible problems charging!
