Ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing

I signed up with Helio on May 27 but cancelled service on June 22 (within 1 month cancellation agreement) because I had so many problems with the phone and the customer service. Not only that it took me 3 months to get the refund for the phone, the billing Department kept on sending me bills for 2 months of services which I'm not entitled to pay. I kepted calling the customer service center and advised them that the contract was terminated within a month and that I'm only obligated to pay the prorated amount for 22 days of services and the $30.00 activation fee, which comes up to $107.21. After having numerous conversations, they promised to send me the updated statement with the correct amount.

On November 17, I have received a letter from a collection agency seeking $627.60!!! I spoke with the case manager from the collection agency and he advised me that $627.60 included 5 months service charged I never paid to HELIO and a $30.00 activation fee and approximately $100.00 of collection filing fee.

Ever Since the next day, I spoke with Chris Lee from the Korean Customer Service Call Center, and he promised to straigten things out for me. He also had proof that my number was ported out to Verizon wireless on 6/22/06. It was clear that the billing department made a mistake and kept on billing the wrong amount. I guess they weren't paying attention to my requests for the statement with the right amount (and i was actually willing to pay for it) Chris Lee kept on lying that it was going to be taken care of soon. Later when I ended up calling him every single day, then he tells me that Brian from another deparment had to finish the work. He told me thats how they do it.

After aknowledging that the problems were not solved in the next couple days I called the regular customer service center to see if they were able to help, but they advised me that whatever the Korean Customer Service team has to be straigtened there. There, I was stuck with this non-sense people just trying to calm me down. Its been about 40 days and they still didn't take care of this matter. They sent me an email stating that I owe $107.21 and confirmed with the collection agency with the adjusted amount. I spoke with the case manager at the collection agency but he advised me that nobody from HELIO has contacted him to update the account and/or make adjustments.
