In the market for a new mobile phone (early August) and browsed the web. I came upon Helio. The Heat seemed like a nice looking phone. All-In is Plan 1: Services are included & No additional charges (Unlimited). A La Carte: Pay As You Go & Pay Only For The Services You Need.
I spoke with a Helio 'Sales Rep' who was cordial, very informative, no sales pitch. What blew me away when she asked for ss#; cc#; etc. That is when I became apprehensive and discovered I was being locked-in for a 2 year contract. Too late!
Two days later, I attempted to email Helio directly from there site, to no avail. I used my personal email to email Helio customer service twice. I called 4 days later to cancel. The response is "we can not cancel an order that has been placed. When the package is delivered via Federal Express-refuse to accept package and request that it be sent back". This I had done. Yet, FedEx still attempted to deliver the package.
Long story short. I did receive $30.00 credit immediately. Four months later, Helio stole from another consumer ($53.50). As did Travelocity ($685.00), and Travelocity is currently advertising on national television. (See Travelocity on this site).
