Recently my roommate ordered a camera lens for me on, what I thought was the best deal. What this company does after you place the order is to call and confirm the order. Not a problem right? Wrong, because they want to sell you more and tell you that the particular lens is a plastic mounted lens and you need the metal mounted lens, etc. My friend, whom used the credit card for me, as I didn't have mine at the time, received an email to call and confirm. He didn't realize it but thought I would want it, but a $389.00 lens ended up costing $724.00. I will take blame that I should've been around when the order was confirmed, but when I called the gentlemen who confirmed the order at this company he was not nice or helpful at all, and he told me I could return what I didn't want because it came with extras. I called back later because I thought I could find some help and good customer service, wrong! The person that answered the line answered on speaker phone and you could tell it was a call center because of the noise. He was horribly rude and had no customer service skills!
I called back the following day to get a return authorization for the pieces I did not need or want. Same thing, the gentlemen was very rude and I couldn't believe he was trying to talk to me, a customer, the way he was. I told him exactly and firmly how I felt. He had the nerve to tell me, after I asked for a supervisor, that he was just promoted to supervisor and how unhappy he was dealing with all this customer stuff during this holiday season. I was in shock that I was hearing this! He said I would have to return everything that I had gotten and they'd send out the lens that was actually $389.00. He is sending me some silly pouch for free, I guess for my troubles. Whatever, I do not want that, I want fair treatment. Plus, had I wanted the extra things, I would've ordered them on the website, underneath the photo you'll see the check boxes to click if you want to purchase things with it. I know a lot about cameras and I do not appreciate this treatment at all. I will never shop with this company again, as they advertise great customer service and how they want you to tell your family and friends. I can guarantee that none of my family, nor my friends - whom are big time photographers within my city have heard about this and will not be using this company and telling their friends, etc. As well. I am filing this report because I do not want anyone that doesn't know an awful lot about cameras or lenses to get suckered in to this scam. I work in retail myself and holidays are stressful, but you are paid to do a job and if you don't like it move on. No one wants the hassle of ordering something and then having to confirm only to be pressured into purchasing more. Don't waste your time with this company, the customer service is the worst I have ever encountered. Please, whatever you do, shop elsewhere! No one at this company cares about their customers, obviously the owner feels the same way. Buyer beware!!!
