Black Friday 2006 I waited in line to get the advertised 42" Plasma HDTV. Listed resolutions 720p and 1080i Model 42hp25bat part number 868999:
I bought this for my parents then checked the product specs on their web site. Native resolution is 852 x 480. This is an EDTV not HDTV. This is clearly false advertising.
I have spoken to corporate customer service and the recomended discussing this with the local store manager. Local assistant manager didn't know anything but gave me permision to return the TV the next time I am in town (around Christmas). I bought it in Louisville Kentucky but I live in Indianapolis (TV is at my parents). I am most worried about the people who do not yet know that they did not buy HDTV.
