Purchased "Free Motorola RAZR phone with mail-in rebate" from Buy.com. However, the details of submitting the rebate made it nearly impossible to complete (i.E. Submit all requested items with a copy of the bill dated 90-120 days after activation of service no earlier and no later than 150-200 days after activation, among other strict requirments).
Having marked my calendar and set reminders, I completed the hoop-jumping and submitted the rebate. Once approved, it took 3 months before a mail date was given. This date later became a notice that the rebate had to be reprocessed by another company.
1 year after ordering my phone, I have yet to see the rebate and despite several e-mail to the "support center", received no reply.
I was able to call, only with the help of a user on this site, and was told that, conveniently, the rebate is going to be mailed in 5-7 days (I will be surprised if I ever see it).
The practices of this company are outrageous and so is Buy.com for allowing this treatment of their customers.
I urge you to reconsider purchasing anything from Buy.com and definitely avoid any business with InPhonic Inc.
