It took me a long time to finally become a cellphone user mainly because of the complicated phone offers and service plans. I am so sorry I choice Cingular. I'm even more sorry for the people who are not as savy a consumer as I am. Why is a company like Cingular allowed to use the word FREE on any cellphone offer? The phone is not free when you pay $400 and Cingular sits on your rebate money for an entire year. How is that okay? How can they use the word FREE while they are making money on your money?
I followed all the instructions for my phone rebates to the T and am still waiting for my money 11 months later. First, you can't submit for your FREE? Phone rebate until 5.5 months after you receive your phone. Then, you better hurry up and submit your rebate because if it isn't all correct by 6.5 months then you may not get your rebate. Then you wait 8-12 weeks for approval of your forms, all the while you are following up on the status wondering if you missed the check in the mail. Then they inform you that they had to reenter all the rebate information and you have to wait another 6-8 weeks. Why are they not held accountable for paying you some kind of interest? Why are they allowed to use the word FREE in their advertising? I really wonder what kind of parties the cingular employees have with the money they make off of people who give up trying to get their rebate money back on their FREE? Phones. Drink up, Cingular. Would love to see a lawsuit on theses company's for false advertisement and use of the word FREE.
