I had received a e-mail message that said I could check my registry for free. I downloaded the scan and a pop-up came up and told me I had successfully downloaded registry defender and they charged me for it. $49. I reported it to my credit card co. As fraud and they said (registry defender) that it is software and they could neither return my money or remove the software. This is a scam or spam or whatever. It is charging under false pretences.
