After i downloaded registry mechanic and when i was trying to use the program my computer was invaded by registry medic which i thought was connected with registry mechanic.in order to use registry medic i was informed that i needed to pay for their password in order to use registry medic which i did. I also had paid for registry mechanic. Registry medic gave me an e-mail address for questions and i received only "canned" responses, one with a web site address for special inquiries. I sent three messages to the web site address and have never received a response. After i received my american express card monthly statement there were two entries: one for registry mechanic which listed a telephone number and one for registry medic which had no telephone number or address. I called registry mechanic and they promptly refunded my money and said it would appear on my next statement. I asked the registry mechanic representative if they were connected with registry medic and the reply was "no." i called american express and told them about my experience with registry medic and was told i would get a refund through amex. It is my impression that registry medic is fraudulent and i want others to know about my experience.
