Give you 2 week window to send rebates, make you wait 30 days to check status, magically disappear in the mail

Pretty simple.

I bought two Motorola RAZR V3 phones from tigerwireless. I was promised that my rebates would go through fine. They make you wait a period of time before you can send your rebate in, in this case it was 6 months. This is mainly to have you lose the rebates, or lose the will to send them.

We didn't though, we had it written on the calender and when the day came, we sent them all in, making photocopies of everything and sending it via certified mail. Since they make you wait 6 months, you would expect a decent window of opportunity to send them once the time came, but that is not how it is. They gave us 4 weeks total to send them in. If the rebates were not postmarked by those 4 weeks, it wouldn't be valid. I should have seen this as a warning sign but I didn't.

So we send them in. I wait the 30 days required to wait before you can attempt to contact them to check the status. Whereismyorder.com/wm2/Login. Aspx

That is where you check the status. Once logged in you are taken to your order and can access your rebate center via this link: cellphonerebates.com/

I try to sign my info in there, but of course, my rebate cannot be found. Well this is genius design i have to admit. You are unable to take any further steps to even find your rebate unless you move into emailing their customer service.

I'll make this part short. I have emailed 4 different people already. They gave me the biggest hunk of crap i have seen yet, and i will share it with you here:

Please be sure to mail all eligible rebates in separate envelopes; with all required documentation within each envelope, and the rebate forms completely filled in.

If you would like to resubmit your information for consideration, please send copies of all documentation, within the submission time frame outlined on your rebate redemption form. Unfortunately, submissions received after this time frame will not be honored.

This is my favorite part. All of my fellow logical human beings here please help me with this. She admits that it is past the 30 day time frame from when i could ask for assistance, meaning that i had to wait 30 days from when i sent the rebates. Then she says, sure send it all in again. Then i get hit with, oh but wait, its most likely past the submission time frame so you're screwed.

So let me get this straight. I have 30 days to send it in, then have to wait 30 days to contact them. I get pushed around via email for 4 days. So im already over the submission deadline. Lovely loop hole.

The other great part is they tell me to send the submission via certified mail so it doesn't get lost. We did that. That accomplishes nothing obviously.

Then i get this tidbit in another email:

Unless you still in the time frame to remail the documents required for the rebate, we will not be able to assist.
Please accept our apology.

Of course im not in the timeframe anymore, they made me wait past it.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Im looking at losing 300 dollars now. I will never do business with TigerDirect or TigerWireless again. I will never do anything ever requiring a rebate again.

Tomorrow im contacting my family member, who is a lawyer to see what my options are. Since its family, its free so i could care less if i waste a little time burying this damn company.

If you have any advice please let me know. I just wanted my money i was promised, and i jumped through the hoops accordingly.
