Horrible service ripoff

Just when you think you heard it all read this. I have been a loyal customer with Dish Network for 6 years. The problems and experiences are as follows. The FIRST time I had an installer show up he put his ladder in place and proceeded to climb to the roof carrying the LNB'S. He dropped them once, came back down then went up the ladder again, dropped it the SECOND time.

At this point I'm saying to myself, "does this guy know what he's doing?" I asked him if the LNB could have been damaged and replied, "NO, THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME." He then went up the ladder the THIRD time and you guessed right! He dropped it the third time.

These are the so called, "PROFESSIONALS " they send customers. I felt bad however and gave him a $25 tip. I want to say this also, they hire independent installers. After about 6 months or so, I had experienced problems with the signals and had acquiring satellite and error.
I called the customer support "and they let you die on the phone waiting" and was told to remove the smart card, pull the plug out, do a switch test, etc.

After all that failed they decided to schedule an appointment to have someone come out and check the system. First of all the appointment was on a Monday, then they said tomorrow, then the next day. To put the story in short, they let me stay home all week like a moron and had someone show up 9PM at night. This installer said, "did you know the dish was not installed properly?" I told him I was not aware of that but I did have problems. He also mentioned the guy who set the dish did not know what he was doing and I was losing 40 stations I had not realized I payed for but was not getting. This guy was like as if a saint had arrived.

The service was good for about 1 year then the same thing happened all over again. Now the phone calls begin telling the whole story over and over, press 6-1-1, take out the smart card, check the connection, pull the plug out. I pressed 6-1-1 so many times that the painted numbers were worn off, believe me.

Now I decide to call the corporate office to try to resolve this matter with them. I spoke to a person by the name of Matt Cleaver and he told me he would have someone come out and fix it.By the way, that was the last time Matt answer the phone but I'll get to that soon. They send out this tech for the THIRD time
he brought out new equipment and replaced everything, the only problem is that he could not get anything to work! I asked him, " what might be wrong?" and he said, "sometimes the unit is bad. "This was uttered 4 times using the process of elimination. The bottom line is this. HE DID NOT KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING!

Finally he got it work, again I gave him a tip of $25 and 2 cans of soda and he left. Not even 2 weeks later to the day, the same problem started, so here we go with the phone calls, time off from work, take out the smart card, press 6-1-1 etc. I know so much about this, I told them I could get a job working for them but, they would have to pay me too much.

This is the FOURTH time they send a tech and this guy was a real winner. He shows up 4 hours late with a van that looked like he was stolen it from the junk yard with, HIS PREGNANT WIFE! I had to send this clown back because he did not even speak English. Back to the phone again, they send out a manager this time, this is the FIFTH time. This guy got lost and had an attitude and do you know why this could have been? HE WAS DRUNK!

Yes, this guy was wobbling back and fourth and tried so hard to distance himself from me so I could not smell his breath. I requested the guy that came out the THIRD time because I figured this one was not drunk, spoke English, and he spent more time then anyone else TRYING to fix what the rest COULD NOT fix.

Guess what? No one is responding to my calls, e-mails, complaints, not even the corporate manager who was so nice in the begging, Matt leave it beaver Cleaver. If anyone of you ask yourself, "why complain and cancel the service?" you are right, but I wanted to see if maybe the problem would be fixed.

My patience now has run out, but they will not get away with this. They recently launched a million dollar communications satellite for what they say, "better programing with more channels." My question is this, why not fix the simple problems here on earth?" Believe me the bad publicity they receive from me, they will pay in spades. I live in New York and local networks love these kind of stories they can share with their viewers.

Two things are certain, you will pay for programming you can't watch and they will take your money every month. They make false claims, they are voted number one in customer service and they have professional dish installers. LIES! I could tell you what they have, incompetent installers, horrible customer service, people that don't listen or comprehend, drunks, and vans with Dish Network logo.

Where is the CEO? Do you think he could be sailing on his yacht around the world while we try to figure out what maybe WE did wrong? Do not deal with these morons. My solution is simple. I went back to rabbit ears.
