Back in February I ordered a Motorola Go-Phone. When I received the phone it worked for about 15 whole minutes and then would not complete a full charge. I called Cingular's superior customer service number and explained the situation and asked if a replacement phone could be send asap.
The customer service rep stated that I would have to pay for the return shipping AND the cost of a replacement phone. She told me it would take up to 2 billing cycles for the refund to be processed. I guess Cingular is swamped with pissed off customers who decided to cancel their orders too.
I told her to forget it and cancelled my account. I returned the phone via UPS and waited and waited and waited.
Today, April 17, I called them to obtain a status of my refund and to my amazement was told that they have no record of me opening an account and purchasing a phone. I told the customer service rep who's name was about a sentence long, that I have the UPS tracking number for the phone in which you they didn't send. Of course he was confused and advised me that there was nothing he could do and that I needed to fax a copy of the payment information to 423-953-7904, Even the fax will cost me money!!! Am I nuts or what? These companies must not get away with this crap. Does anyone hold anyone else accoutable at Cingular?
