Wireless Dimension
Ripoff

On March 28, I patronize Wireless Dimension, a "Sprint Distributor" to purchase a "New" battery to replace the old defective battery for my Sprint cell phone. Now, you know these batteries are not cheap. I paid $60.00 plus $4.35 tax.

I followed the sales person's, (Ron) instructions for charging this New battery. Well guess what? This battery was defective as well. I felt ripped off! Have you been a financial bind when you are robbing Peter to pay Paul?

I did not have money to pay for a battery at this point in my life. I used bill money because like everyone, I have to have a phone. I am job hunting and have missed very important calls because my battery would not hold a charge for an hour... And to find out after spending $64.35 for what is suppose to be a "New" perfectly functional battery was a disapointment.

I began to think that perhaps it was my phone and decided to find a Sprint Store instead of going back to a Sprint Distributor. Well, that Friday, 3/31/06, I found a Sprint store and they told me that my insurance does not cover the battery. I told them I bought this battery from one of their distributors and they look at the battery and said that it was not one of their batteries. Their battery said "Sprint" right on it. He asked how much I paid and I showed him the receipt and he said it was a knock off battery that usually would not cost no more than $19.95. Again, I felt ripped off.

I took the battery back to Wireless Dimension on Monday, 4/3/06 (within a week time) with my receipt and Ron, the Manager who sold me the battery told me that he WILL NOT REFUND MY MONEY. He said that I have use the credit to purchase something eles from "them". I asked for another new battery and of course, he did not have one as he told me the day I bought it. I was in luck. This was their last battery for my phone type... Right in luck. I felt ROBBED! I even began to wonder if he knew that battery was no good.

I began to argue with him to demand my rights as a consumer to refund my money. I know Store Managers can do whatever they what to do as far as refunds, credits, etc. He said that with my receipt I can only get $64.35 in credit. They have flexibility. Well, there was nothing eles in that store that I wanted. I felt trapped. I stood my grounds and said that I would not leave until he refunded my money and told other customers what Ron was doing to me. Ron called Security.

After, I told the Security Officer what I was encountering and that I felt Robbed, Ripped-Off and Betrayed as a consumer. He agreed with me. He also asked the Manager, Rob to reimburse my money. Rob said that he would not. He needed the Owner's permission and of course he was conveniently out of town.

I demanded his phone number and email address. Of course, Ron gave me the wrong info. I called and left a msg on the voice mail and a few moments later, a lady called me back to say the the number was not to the owner of Wireless Dimension. My emails were undelivered also.

To make a long story short, feeling hurt, angry and betrayed, Ron said he would get me another Sprint battery and to come back in a week. So here I am. I spent money that I did not have to still be inconvenience without a working phone because the so-called new battery was defective. I guess Ron thought he was being nice by letting me "use" one of his home battery chargers. I told him I had a charger. Nothing was wrong with my charger. This was NOT helping me!

Today, Monday, 4/10/06, I was fed up! Every day, after charging this defective battery, less that an hour, it was dead. When I got off work (temp position), I took the battery back and demanded my card be credit. I told Ron that I spent hard earned money for a product that was garbage and had been totally inconvenience for a week. He said he would have a new Sprint battery tomorrow. I was NOT WAITING another day. Plus, I did not want no other merchandise from them. No one should be FORCED to have their money held when the supplier does not have the product.

Well today, Ron finally gave me by credit so he said. He took my original receipt... And had the nerve to asked back his $10.00 charger which I still had in my purse. I told him, I wanted to be compensated for inconvenience. He said they do not offer anything for inconvenience. He was being nice by trying to get me another battery. Now isn't that a HOOT!

At this time, I still cannot get a another battery until this credit post. I guess now, I will see how long this takes.
I was not always in a bad position financially... It's like the Bible says: "Unforeseen occurrences befalls us all". Anyway, now, I still don't have my $64.35 or a battery for my phone...

I hate I ever bought my cell phone battery from Wireless Dimensions. I thought they were a reputable company, not Shysters, who will take your money any way they can to get a sales. I also thought they be reputable because they are renting space in a luxurious mall like Stratford!...in Bloomindale, Illinois. Well, I'm here to tell you Business Voltures are everywhere.

It's not the amount that hurts so bad. It is the Principle!
