I made the mistake of going online to acquire a "free ringtone" from flycell.com. I got the ringtone, but as a rider, I did not know that I was also going to receive a daily Horoscope as well.
Well, I have to pay for all text messages, and not only did I not want the horoscope, it was actually the wrong sign that they kept sending me. I went back online to "unsuscribe" - several times - but to no avail.
I found consumer complaints.com and was able to acquire the phone number and address to the site. I called several times, but was only allowed to leave a message. Each time was without results.
The last time, I did not punch in "0" for the operator, and finally spoke to a human being. He sent me to Extension 422 - where I was able to speak to a tech. According to him, I am now officially unsuscribed.
I will keep you posted as time progresses. If you are having a tough time with flycell.com, call them at 212-400-1212, and punch in ext 422 when asked. Again, I am not yet convinced that this has worked, but it took me over a week of persistence to speak to someone.
I would suggest that you stay clear of flycell.com altogether.
