My name is Seth Alton, I am with the 101st airborne (Air Assault) div. I have been in for about a year now and have worked with computers for about six years now. When purchasing a laptop for my deployment, i had used paradigm to obtain a notebook. When i recived the statistics of the machine, I was discusted to learn that i could build this machine my self for around $450, and could be bought on gateway for $600.
Paradigm wanted $2,200 for this machine with a 18% APR. This is a setup for people that do not understand both computers or financial lingo. Right after reciving the documentation, I called Paradigm and asked for a refund. I was then told that there would be no refund and that it was stated in the refund policy. IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE HERD THAT ON THE PHONE, yet it was never stated or the stats. Of the computer. I am currently working with higher ranking personell to "Black List" Paradigm from all personell at Ft. Campbell and I am writing personal letters to the CEO of Paradigm, Gateway, and the head of the JAG for my unit.
