I was with AT&T, and Cingular offered me a free phone in order to switch over, w / a 2-year contract. I took the bait. When I signed up, they offered me a bunch of special features, all of which I turned down. When I got my 1st bill - they had charged me for the services anyway. I had to call & fight them to get the fees taken off my account.
Then I was charged late fees for a bill I had never received.
Also, the lady told me that my account would all be exactly the same, including text messaging. She did not tell me that I would be paying for both messages sent AND messages received! Talk about double billing. I had to get TM disabled on my phone.
Plus my coverage isn't nearly as good as it was w / AT&T.
There have been other on-going issues with them, and as soon as my contract is up I am switching to someone - anyone - else!
