Dear Cingular Wireless
I am a student who has been an AT&T wireless user since December. My average monthly bills are approximately $40 per month. Whenever I travel outside Louisiana, I always make sure that I will not incur roaming fees by contacting AT&T.
On or around April 12 I traveled to Champaign, IL from my residence in Thibodaux, LA to attend a review class for college. Upon my arrival in Champaign, IL, I went to the Cingular Wireless Midwest Cellular Store on 706 W Marketview Dr Champaign, IL 61822 and spoke with Ben Trouong. I asked Mr. Trouong if I would have to modify my current plan.in addition, I also asked if I would incur any roaming fees during my stay in Champaign, IL.
Mr. Trouong verbally stated that no modifications were needed and no additional roaming fees would be charged to my account. After receiving my May 5 invoice, I was surprised that the bill was in the amount of $1,549.43. It appears that I was charged roaming fees during my entire stay in Champaign, IL. I am confused and upset because I was told that I would not be charged roaming fees.
At your discretion, I am hopeful that this was a mistake and the roaming fees/applied taxes from all calls made from Champaign, IL will be credited to my account. Thanks for your understanding with this matter. Respectfully
