Below is a letter that my daughter an attorney has submitted to Camberidge Camera&We would like to contact others who have been ripped off by the company:
Mr. Robert Lindenblatt
Cambridge Camera World, Inc.
119 West 17th Street
New York, New York 10011
Dear Mr. Lindenblatt:
On March 9 my client, Dr. Curtis H. Bourgeois, forwarded a check in the amount of $1719.90 for the purchase of an Olympus Camedia E-10 Camera, along with a purchase order to Cambridge World.com. The check was cashed on March 14.
My client's office staff contacted Mr. Scott in your Customer Service Dept. On 4-6-01, they were advised that the camera was on back order and should be delivered in 10 days,
When the camera was not delivered, Dr Bourgeois personally contacted Mr. Scott on
5-1-01 and was advised that it would be delivered in one week.
On May 17, when the camera was not delivered as promised, in a registered letter, Dr. Bourgeois cancelled the contract for the camera and requested a refund of all monies paid to you.
In multiple conversations with Mr. Scott, we were advised that a refund would be forthcoming.
To date, we have not received the refund. We have attempted, through the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney Generals Office, to settle this matter without taking legal action, but you have yet to cooperate in any settlement negotiations.
We will file suit for breach of contract on March 9, if we have not had a response from you in the form of a check in the amount of $1719.90.
Sincerely,
Karen Bourgeois
