Ripoff very slow in delivering porducts services after they have been paid fo

Tivo not getting anything done in a timely manner

From the 1st contact I had with TIVO attempting to buy an 80 hr. Series 2, from TIVOs Web Site (which never explained that the machine only gets 80 hrs. Of stored recording time if you use BASIC or the lowest mpeg4 bandwidth, which causes glitches, audio and video popping, etc.) unfortunately my wife liked the TIVOs convenience of the Season Pass feature for all the reality shows she has gotten sucked into, so I went to Best Buy and bought another 80 () hr TIVO for her to use in our bedroom. I use the one in our living room. So, I initially paid for a lifetime subscription for the 1st TIVO once I saw my wifes addiction, and then just assumed that since TIVO only charges $13.00 a month for 2 TIVOs it would be sensible to believe that 2 lifetime subscriptions would be paid for by the $300.00 I already paid for the 1st TIVO. WRONG.

I just have to pay $6.95 a month for the 2nd TIVO. HO HO HO, screw me.

So then about a month ago I see this new product for TIVO desktop ver 2. X that one ca transfer shows/movies, etc for Now Playing on either TIVO as long as one has high speed network connecting the machines to the internet. I use Wi-Fi and installed the new desktop and spent about 1 to 2 hours trying to figure out why the new desktop was telling me THERE ARE NO DVRS AVAILABLE ON THE NETWORK. This wasnt true as the TIVO server saw both TIVOs with there IP addresses and names I gave them.

So I call TIVO again this happened almost 4 weeks ago and after spending 30 minutes or so in their que, I was then told by a tech that I needed to get a upgrade for me DVRs for this new feature to work. She then further told me that if I go to this one certain screen on their site and click this link it will take me to another page where I can input my DVRs services numbers and in 2 weeks I will be automagically given this new vers 7. X and then both of the DVRs with operate with this new feature.

I travel a lot and spend much time in airports etc. On airplanes, in hotel rooms and being able to watch a first run movie I burned to a dvd for $4.00 to get the show on-demand @ home and not have to pay $7- $15 in a hotel will be great.

Well TIVO once again hasnt come thru as a month has gone by and still no DVR upgrade that should have been done 2 weeks ago.
