Cable Customer Service Nightmare Fraudulent Billing runaround overlooked

Hello fellow consumers, Adelphia cable is trying to rip me off! They claim I opened an account in 1998 and that I have an unpaid balance of $170.

I remember 1998 very clearly it was the year I graduated high school. At the time I was still living with my grandma and the only monthly bill I had was my cell phone.

I have contacted Adelphia's so called Customer Service Department" on three seperate occasions attempting to resolve this issue to no avail. They couldn't even tell me the month in which the account was activated.in fact, on all three occasions their response was "We'll call you back".

Is there anything more annoying than someone telling you that and failing to following through? So anyways, I wake up this morning and have no cable, I call Adelphia and they tell me how they decided that I opened the account.

Wondering how they came to this conclusion I asked them if their was someone I could talk to? They said no and gave me a fax #. It's 2005 and the best they can do is a fax #. Thank you Adelphia, I can't wait to get Direct TV.
