Well, it's been a while since I have purchased anything at HH Gregg. It's all because of my last experiance. I was wanting an iPaq PDA for Christmas a few years ago and I didn't receive it. The original price was $599 and they had an advertised sale price in the paper for $299. When I went to make the purchase at several locations, they told me that they had sold out of them. The ad clearly says, "if we do not have the advertised item in stock we will sell you the next available higher priced item". This is completly untrue. There were 3 stores that wanted to sell me some other brand that I wasn't even interested in. On my trip to the 4th and final store in Columbus, they had done the exact same thing to me and told me that they couldn't help me.
I left the store in rage, went across the road to the gas station and went inside. I just happened to see a lady in the gas station that I had seen in HH Gregg. I asked her, "Did you buy anything nice at HH Gregg." She looked puzzled and I told her that I had seen her in there. She asked me if I had bought anything and I told her that I would NEVER shop there again. She asked why and I proceeded to tell her the story. She said, "That's interesting. Here is my business card. I am the sales manager there and nothing happens there unless it goes through me first."
Well, I ended up getting the next model up for the advertised $299 price and put it on the HH Gregg card.
I can't wait to get this card paid off because their card company calls you 10 times a day if you are even 2 days late making a payment.
I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN and my best friend has worked there for 7 years. He finally put in his 2 weeks notice last week.
