Recently my son was told by a friend that you could get $50 off any smart phone at Walmart. He made a trip to the local WM here in McCook Ne to verify and sure enough a large sign was placed directly in front of the Straight Talk phones we were wanting to buy. We made a third trip to actually purchase the two phones I wanted for birthday gifts. The clerk (Trudy) was busy visiting with another employee so after several attempts to get her attention she finally came over and answered a question and promptly left. After several more questions and attempts to get her to help us we had her unlock two of the $149.00 phones. She had been listening to us talk among ourselves the whole time about what a great deal the $ off was. When she rang up the phones however she made NO attempt whatsoever to explain that it did not pertain to THOSE phones. I asked her if she had included the $ off THEN she told me. I asked her what phones it did apply to and she pointed to the complete opposite side of the department. Of course I asked WHY then is the sign here? She called a manager and the manager just apologized with no explanation either. UNBELIEVABLE, Trudy was SO pleased with herself, you would have thought it was actually HER money we were trying to "do her out of". I am now ordering a $400 sale online instead through Straight Talk. From now on I will go to North Platte to shop. It is ridiculous how rude people feel the need to be. I would have gladly paid the difference if she had pleasantly explained it to me. Nate, please move your sign to the phones that are ACTUALLY on sale would you please to avoid this happening to anyone else. You lost a large sale and a future customer. Good job!
