Bought prepaid plan Aug. Minutes were limited thru week. 1000 nights and weekends. Got mostly for emergency.
In sept went to work on a sat. Went in early to work on computer for a contest we were having in our company. Arrived at work 5-6 hours early to get us far ahead of other stores in our district. Set in training room all morning on computer. Phone was in my pocket turned off.
At one time I tried to use but had no service. About noon I broke for lunch before I had to clock in at 1pm. I kept phone in pocket turned off because I was going to take early lunch at 3pm and go and renew minutes.
On my lunch hour I left work and went to Alltel. I was supposed to be charged 29.99. Associate only charged around 27-28 dollars. I left. Worked rest of day and Sunday with phone in my pocket turned off or locked in my locker in breakroom.
On Monday i thought about minutes and stopped by Alltel on way to work. I told associate I did not think they charged me enough. She checked and said I owed a little but i would have to pay 10.00. I said would that go toward next months bill. She said yes.
I worked late monday night. On Tuesday morn, I checked my minutes to be sure they were ok. I had none. I called Alltel. They said I had none. I was shocked. I don't talk much. I told associate I was going to have to go about 20miles out of my way to come back up there. She ask where I lived. She said it might be closer to go to Fulton, Ms location considering where I lived at that time. I told her no, problem was in Tupelo.
I went to store. She printed out pages of calls I did not make. And no one else has access to my phone. I was beyond upset. She got someone on phone. Talked to a techinican and a lady. Lady said she would restore half of my minutes. I told her I would not accept that. She agreed to restore all.
I talked to a lady from Alltel in Corinth, Ms. Who called herself a manager. She said she would call numbers and investigate. I asked for the money back I had overpaid because I told them I did not want to renew for another month. They refused to give me my money back.
I left with a splitting headache. Who wouldn't after that. I left Alltel, turned phone off, put in my pocket, where I keep phone most of time. Went out of town. Returned home that night and checked minutes. They were being used up.
I called Alltel in Tupelo and Corinth. They were closed. I went to Alltel next morning. Again pages of calls I did not make, did not know any of the numbers. Employees stood around laughing and snickering because they had an upset customer. One looked like she was in space, another one was real fat but acted like she was pretty. Two guys were standing around. One said Whatcha think about it Jeremy and they both laughed. One associate got their manager from Corith store. She told me if I thought I needed to see a lawyer go ahead.
They gave me an address in Georgia. One lawyer wrote them for me but no response. I let things ride for several months due to some health problems I was having. But I thought about it all time.
I wrote BBB in Miss. They wrote a letter back saying Alltel would not respond to them. I wrote Alltel in Arkansaw. They returned my letter to me and told me to mail in to another address. I wrote Miss Att General. They responded to me very quickly.
They wrote Alltel I think a couple of times. Alltel finally got off their lazy behinds and wrote Attorney Generals office lies. Atty gen closed case. Trying do everything I can to get my money back. It was about 118.00 dollars I spent there and then had to go to their competition and spend about 127.00 dollars just to have a phone in case of emergency.
All this in about a months time. My income is limited. A rich person would not want to pay this kind of money. Any one that wants to file a class action lawsuit against these people you have my support and my blessing. With all the complaints I have read on internet against them and all the consumers they are ripping off, you should not have a problem winning.
Go for it. Close these lazy, rude people down and then we will have a party like noone has ever seen in this world before. Thank you for this website and for your time. Call me, come see me, whatever it takes to get this horrible business gone from this precious USA. They dont deserve being in the USA. USA has more class than this to let someone run a business like Alltel runs. Thank you.
