Everest University is a college that is not accredited with SACS, which means that 99% of all credits earned at this institution will not transfer to a real college like Florida, Florida State, Miami, USF, UCF, Saint Leo, or Georgia. The only credits that will transfer are the entry level math, English, and computer courses. Furthermore SACS schools (i.E. Real schools) will not accept the credits from Everest University.
Everest University used to be called Florida Metropolitan University (FMU) from 1995. FMU changed its name because a group of students sued FMU due to its lack of accreditation with SACS and the fact that their credits/degrees would not be transferable to a SACS school. The students also sued FMU because FMU advisers claimed that the credits and degrees would transfer despite the fact they clearly would not. Actually not even the community colleges will accept Everest of FMU credits.
