Wikipedia had several reports written by some authors who chose to create fear regarding epilepsy. Some titles included Issues for Epileptics, Epilepsy and Driving, Epilepsy and Employment, Epilepsy in Children. The information post was twisted and incorrect. One author posted some hype with a picture of a totled motor vehicle in article epilepsy and driving. They made up their own information and claimed that it was part of the sources they posted. Some authors also aubsed sources by twisting the words of the reports. Some of the false claims included that people with epilspy couldnt safely drive, they could not safely work, they couldn't safely walk. There was lots of hype just to generate some stereotypical fear from someone who spent a few hours on a mission to present misinformation.
I contacted Wikipedia and they didn't care. A customer service representative from Wikipedia advised I should go and correct the information within the articles and debate the issues with the authors. Then the authors that abused Wikipedia see that their information is changed and they would run back. This isn't an issue of debate, the information is incorrect and the sources are abused at the cost of justifying misinformation and discrimination. Any jerk with a bias can make their own biased mispreception and Wikipedia will post it.
