Words are inadequate to say the least, about this company called FIC Management, locatd in Newton, MA who owns this slum called Remington Place Apartments in Fort Washington, MD.
The place is overrun with drug dealers, section 8 recipients, and other dregs of society. The parking lot in the day time is true testament to how many people who live there actually hold down jobs. The front doors are routinely defeated by tennants who do not qualify for a regular land-line telephone, therefore they stick chewing gun, pennies and other fodder in the locks in order to let their drug dealling friends into the building to urinate, visit, and use the buildings laundry facilities which again, don't make your clothes clean but in fact make them dirty.
The on-site so-called management, couldn't get hired at Burger King. I can't imagine someone renting an apartment to someone and yet know they can't qualify for a telephone in order to use the intercom system. This is just the beginning. We have county police officers who are suppossed to be "building security", but they park their county-issued cruisers in the parking lot and disappear into their apartments until someone pulls the fire alarm or it's time for them to go to work. Prince Georges County Police just came out from under Justice Dept oversight, so that may tell you something about the effectiveness of their agency.
My apartment is overrrun with roaches and gnats. Let me begin with the idiot who lives above me in an efficiency apartment with 4 people. You would think they're holding a 24/7 aerobics class, because these people stomp on the floor all night long. The icing on the cake is when one of them falls asleep and allows the tub to overflow. This results in a shower in my bathroom and no one told me to run go get the soap. The hole in my closet wall, is large enough for a large child to pass through. They've patched up this hole with a piece of plaster board. That's it! Adults rent apartments for the many teenagers who live there and then disappear. Management knows this but are so greedy for money, they fail to enforce the lease requirements. The parking lot lights are routinely out or dim, which is why so many cars are broken into.
Lastly, the trash. I'm from a large city and I've never seen so much trash piled up in my life! This past summer was atrocious! They have two very small trash dumpsters outside, for a building that has 10 floors and many apartments on each floor. Of course, people have few social skills so when the trash chute routinely fills up all the way to the 7th floor, they take their trash and literally throw it on the ground behind the building since the dumpster is overflowing. Rats, rodents, seagulls and any other type of scavenger have a feast. So much so, you can't use the back door to enter the building.
My fingers can't capture all the complaints about this eyesore and filthy property. Stay away from Remington Place.
