Professional career institute "Artesia"
P.C. I watch out for this vocational school "pci"

I attended the ultrasound tech program without my High School or Ged and a 9th grade education. I was asked by Professional Career Institute to go to and take a ATB test and strangely with such little education I passed. I still to this day wonder how I passed because I have "Very" little math skills in fact I never made it pass multiplying.

So a couple of days after completing the test I got a call back from Professional Career Institute confirming that I did indeed pass and that I could start very soon. I was promised that after completing the course I would make at least $20 hourly and I also was guaranteed I would find a GREAT job after I was finished with the program! So within a week or two I was on my journey to becoming an Ultrasound Tech.

I started to meet more and more people just like me in fact almost know one had any prior experience in the medical field nor did they have and GED or HS Diploma. So I attended class faithfully and I still didn't understand almost half of what was taught do to my learning disabilities but was told by staff not to drop because I already had passed the 30 days and I wouldn't get my money back.

Most of the students would just show up when ever they pleased left when ever they wanted but was written down as being in class 100% of the time. Six months later I went to the school office to pick up my Certificate because I passed, don't ask me how but I passed and so did my other classmates that were never in class.

After getting my certificate I started to look for a job and was turned down left and right because I didn't have my GED or HS Diploma and because of the little education that Professional Career Institute taught wasn't anyway near what education was required to fill ANY job! I started to talk with my fellow classmates about the issues I was having and they ALL agreed with me, we got lied to and taken advantage of.

My classmates including myself called the school and demanded answers and was told they would work on helping their students and still 9 years later nothing has been done. I spoke on the phone with Professional Career Institute earlier this year sometime in February and was told my file says that IM a Medical Assistant! Elsa one of the "staff" said "Nope my staff and I are looking at it right in front of our faces ". Elsa argued with me and told me I was confused!

So what I'm no longer a Ultrasound tech, how could this be they switched every single record including my Certificate?

Is there a reason for this? Yes because an Medical Assistant doesn't require a GED or Diploma and a Ultrasound does! I have all documents to back me up and I also have prior students of theirs to show I was a Ultrasound Tech. Also in order to get a job as an Ultrasound Tech you have to be licensed and in order to be licensed you have to have a GED or an HS Diploma and its a must to have completed a school that has the correct accreditation which Professional Career Institute does not have. So basically I will never have a chance to become an Ultrasound Tech.

I think this school needs to be investigated, why are they still in business and still taking money from innocent people will little or no education? Why was Bryman Vocational School Ultrasound program shut down? It was shut down because of the same thing Professional Career Institute is doing! Please look into this school, NO one has ever got a job through them in the Ultrasound Field!
