It seems that Breyers has recently changed the size of their half gallons to 1.75 gallons. Their "specialty" ice creams have always been less than a half gallon, I have noticed this change in their "everday" flavors recently. They also have the nerve to put in big letters on their M & M's ice cream that is is now 16.6% (I believe) bigger. (Why don't they do the same and advertise their "regular" ice creams as 12.5% smaller, LOL) Just seems like another company out to rip off the public instead of leaving it the smae size and raising their prices.
By the way, if you visit their web site at www.icecreamusa.com you will see that the same company that manufacturers Breyers also manufactures Klondike, Popsicle and Good Humor. Are you as tired of getting ripped off as I am? I'm sure their are plenty of other companies out there with the same deceptive practice. If anyone out there knows of more, please let me know. I want to stop buying their products too.
