When the pump stopped pumping and the total was $98 and change, I did a double take and noticed that it said that 21.345 gallons had been pumped. Now that's very peculiar because I only have a 20 gallon tank. And I believe this happens more than people think at various other stations. I keep a close eye on how much gas is in my tank. I have a digital gas gauge and it has always seemed to be right by my calculations. When it says I have 4 gallons left, it usually takes right around 16 gallons to fill it up. This time it said there was 2 gallons left, which may mean that there was a little less than 2 gallons, like maybe a gallon and a half, so I expected 18 to 18-1/2 gallons, not nearly 21-1/2 gallons! That's about a $12 rip-off in my book! As if gas isn't expensive enough these days. The last time I filled the tank up about two weeks ago, it cost $87. That was the most I have ever paid up until today. The only difference is that the last time it only took as much as I figured it was going to take, not three gallons more!
