Slammed Again!
Just had the good folks @ AOL Travelers Advantage put a $99.99 charge on my debit card against my brokerage account. This will make the third time they made fraudulent charges against my account.
First call got me nowhere! A polite we don't show you as having an account. Follow by me being requested to provide them with my card number. Sure, I'm going to jump on that opportunity.
Second call was handled with a little more tack, they explained that someone with the same name in Worthington, Ohio was a member and that there had probably been a clerical error and to report it to my card company to get it cleared up.
The sad thing about all this is that the card company will credit my card and write it off as the price of doing business. Which we all end up paying for one way or another.
When and who will finally shut these sleaze balls down?
